ORCHANGO president to judge National HR Awards again
ORCHANGO president & co-founder Edmond Mellina will serve again this year as a judge for the National HR Awards presented by Canadian HR Reporter — a Thomson Reuters publication. Mellina has judged these awards since the inaugural year.
“When we founded the awards in 2015, we decided to make it an editorial feature,” said Todd Humber, publisher and editor-in-chief of Canadian HR Reporter. “We wanted to put the focus on telling in-depth stories of the winners, through video and text, to share the best HR practices with our readers. We opted for substance over style, and it was incredibly successful.”
For 2018, Canadian HR Reporter decided to move beyond a cocktail reception and into a full gala dinner. On Sept. 27 2018, professionals from across the country will gather at the prestigious Ritz-Carlton in downtown Toronto to celebrate the event.“We are thrilled to be able to host this event at such an incredible venue,” said Humber. “It’s going to be an amazing night of networking, celebrating the best human resources practices and hearing from the winners themselves on stage. It will be the can’t miss event of the year.” He added: “A big thanks to the judges – respected professionals from across North America – who volunteer their time and expertise to judge the incredible entries from across Canada.”
